DIY Invitation Ornaments

I have been seeing a few of these ornaments floating around Pinterest lately.

They are so cute and looked so easy to make, my sisters, my mom and I decided to give them a try.

These are how ours turned out.

We started with our invitations and programs from our weddings. You can do any invitation that is meaningful to you: baby shower, graduation, confirmation, etc.

Next cut the invitation into strips. If you don't have a Fiskars cutter like we did, you can use a scissors.

Pick a few of the most important strips and set aside for now.

Don't worry if your strips are thin or thick, you can fit both in just fine!

Curl your pieces around a pen so that it starts to look like ribbon. Then feed it through your empty bulb.

Continue with the rest of the pieces until you get the desired fullness. Then pick up those pieces you set aside and feed them around the outside of the other pieces so you read those first.

Lastly, use some ribbon (preferably something you used in your wedding) to tie it onto the tree.

Now you have a fun ornament to hang every year and remind yourself of that wonderful day long ago :)
